There was perhaps no diesel locomotive more recognized and well-traveled on the Boston & Maine Railroad than their GP9s. Ushering in the new corporate logo and colors in 1957, some of these locomotives served nearly 60 years. We'll examine their history, legacy, and the story of one amazing survivor now flourishing in New England.
