As a complete bonus I got to ride the Kove Rally 450 on the trails in proper British conditions. I’ve been wanting to test ride one myself but never expected to be allowed to ride it properly like this. Thank you sir 🙏🏻 mega fun and super impressive.

Compared with a 450 enduro bike its similar but different is my opinion. One is a rally bike and the other is an enduro race bike. Engines produce different power for good reason. They are designed for a purpose and therefore differ. But what I can say is that the Kove carried the 31L of fuel really well and felt agile taking that into account. Engine was smooth and mellow low in the revs unlike an enduro but this is a good thing as it’s more manageable for traction. Once I got it into the mid and later into the higher rev range it came alive for me. Add into the equation arguably the best suspension on a stock bike at this price point (£10k otr) it was mega impressive.
Just to be clear, I don’t have any connection with the dealer or Kove, just my opinion unbiased.
Downsides were, rear brake was spongy (likely adjustment needed), handguards linked to master cylinder so not independently adjustable (but not an issue for me as I have my levers just below level so handguards sat in the correct place). Cockpit felt a little cramped for me but I’m 6ft4 and used to my Tenere (could be that I just need to spend more time on it and adjust, as it’s more enduro bike cockpit feel).
Once DeCAT and ECU tuned with some more aggressive tyres to my liking it’d be a weapon.
