It’s another beautiful day and today we are going to make my absolute favorite pupusa recipe, I’m Mexican who loves pupusas, and Like we have gorditas, Salvadorans have pupusas, Colombia, Venezuela, and Panama have arepas. Your favo melting cheese
For the beans:
3 cups precooked beans with 1/2 cup of its broth
1/4 onion
1/2 jalapeño
For the curtido “pickled slaw”
1/2 cabbage finely shredded cabbage
1/2 purple onion
2 cups shredded carrots
1 jalapeño
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup white vinagre
1 tbsp oregano
Salt to taste I used 1/2 tbsp
For the salsa:
6 roma tomatoes
1 Serrano
6 arbol
2 garlic cloves
1/4 onion
1/4 cup water
1 tsp oregano
Salt to taste I used 2 tsp
For the masa
4 cups instant corn masa
3-4 cups warm water
Salt to taste (optional)
