First, the most common causes for your portable Frigidaire AC not to cool include:
• Room ambient temperature is too low for cooling
• The unit’s air conditioner is set too high
• A shut off compressor due to changing modes
Now, let’s look at the possible solutions to resolve the issue;
Wait for room ambient temperature to rise
Portable Frigidaire ACs are programmed not to cool when the room temperature is below 60°F (16℃). To cool, you must wait for the ambient temperatures to rise past this limit.
Reset the unit to lower temperatures
Use the up and down buttons on the AC’s control panel to adjust your temperature settings.
Wait for the compressor to restart
When switching from high to low-temperature settings, the compressor doesn't switch immediately. It goes off first. Wait for at least three minutes for the compressor to restart.
