Quick question... 🤔
When you think of your perfect day and life, what does it look like?
What are your days filled with?
How are you spending your time?
What goals have you accomplished and what goals are you working towards?
If you're not sure how to answer that, don't worry—I got you.
Carve out a few moments of your day to complete this guided visualization exercise to help you clearly identify what you want to devote your time and energy to.
Why visualizations? 💭
Visualization is the act of tapping into your imagination to see and experience a certain activity or scene.
In short, it's the act of suspending reality and letting go of the restrictions, limitations, and "reasons" that you may often fall back on in "real" life so that you can better align with your goals and desires.
Visualizations open you up to a whole world of possibility and allow you to see what could be because here's a secret:
If you can imagine it, then it is possible. It's just a matter of figuring out the how... and that's what you and I will cover.
When you're done... 📝
This visualization is designed to help you tap into and cultivate your intuition so that when you encounter difficult decisions, you don't need to look outside of yourself for direction.
As you listen to this meditation, keep in mind:
- It is very normal to experience a wave of emotions as you move through the visualization.
- You may not be able to key in on specific details such as a name or gift your first time. However, with practice, you will be able to paint a more vibrant picture of your future self, your surroundings, and a range of details big and small.
- For the details you do discover, make a note of what you see. Sometimes the information will seem cryptic and disjointed, but you will likely find that over time, elements of what you saw come to play in your conversations, your actions, your day-to-day experiences, etc.
- If you receive a gift, hear a name, see colors, locations, etc. that are unfamiliar to you, look them up! These can be hints into things that you can incorporate into your current experiences, or reminders of what currently exists for you.
Questions to consider asking your Future Self:
- What is my life's purpose?
- Is this the right relationship for me?
- Who should I reach out to for help?
- Is this the right job for me?
- What is the next step in my career?
- Or anything you think you don't know the answers to yet (you might be surprised to find that you really do!).
