For over twenty years I have held a dream to climb Mt. Vinson, at 16,050' the highest point in Antarctica. I didn't know if I would be strong enough, the mountain could have high winds or storms, the route unsafe or dozens of things that could go wrong. I gave myself one chance and I was prepared to accept that this dream might never come true.
Finally, on New Year's Eve 2021 we began our ascent up the Branscombe Glacier with a team from Alpine Ascents International with the hope that I would finally be able to find out what it feels like to achieve a long held dream.
