As part of my Withdrawn Wednesday/Thrashback Thursday segments we all knew an Olympian had to feature!
This was back in late 2016 about 9 days prior to the DDA law for double deckers coming into fruition and Hedingham’s last Olympian in service was being run on certain runs for the day on Clacton’s old 87 service. Although no kickdown as this was effectively an “in service enthusiast tour” this still brings back fond memories of the good old days with Hedingham running around with Olympians prior to the W reg and future ex London crap (cough cough Scanias) taking their place. It’s sad these had to go and even four years on it’s still quite odd to see the Tollesbury routes running without Olympians! Hope you enjoy!
