James Reade, 47, was driving his Volkswagen Scirocco more than three-times the speed limit in Poole, Dorset, when he careened into a terraced property. The occupant of the house, who was in at the time, was not injured. Reade fled the scene and was later found by police reeking of alcohol. A blood sample test found he was over the legal limit. He was jailed for six months for dangerous driving and drink driving in Bournemouth Crown Court on Friday.
