The Buccoo REEF was designated a marine protected area in 1973. one of the 3 largest reefs in Tobago situated close to Buccoo, Pigeon Point and Bon Accord. Famous for its Nylon pool where it is said that ladies can get 5 years younger when they dip in this clear crystal water.
Most people pay tour guides and boat operators to get there but a good swimmer can easily reach the reef. Dont try this alone because sometimes the current and tide can be unpredictable.
I have taken over 7 people to the reef who could not swim any at all. so this is not my first rodeo out there. I was making this swim as a child 8 -10 years old.
