#Dlium Kerbau or water buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) is a species of animal in the Bovidae, the skin is black or gray or dark blue, the face is long, the back is elongated and tapered gradually, the size and shape of the horns can vary greatly between races.
B. bubalis has a height of 129-133 cm for males and 120-127 cm for females, but large individuals can reach 160 cm. Head length is usually 240-300 cm with a tail length of 60-100 cm. Weight 300-550 kg, but can be more than 1000 kg.
Swamp buffalo and river buffalo do not interbreed easily, but fertile offspring can occur. The rumen contains a larger population of bacteria, mainly cellulolytic, lower protozoa and higher fungal zoospores. Nitrogen ammonia and high pH.
