In this first episode of Dr. Brown's series on 'Animal Behaviour', we explore what behaviours actually are and why they make animals act the way that they do. We discover the genetic, physiological, nervous and hormonal mechanisms that make behaviours possible, as well as the evolutionary and functional purposes the behaviours serve the animals performing them. As we shall see, animal behaviour is a dynamic and interactive process between animals and their environment.
