15 years later, Big D decided to enter Goliath’s sheds in the Big Buck Shed Contest at the Iowa Deer Classic, the set 2 years before he was killed. He ended up netting 218 6/8” and grossing 228” without a spread. We also found some info out from a neighbor that had a trail cam photo of his right side and it’s believed he had close to 18-20” broke off. If you add in the same spread he had when he was 9.5, that would have put him at his best when he was 7.5 stretching the tape to 271-273” on the hoof! There will never be another Goliath but the sheds sure provide some great memories!
