Prime Minister Narendra Modi at an election rally suggested that Pakistan is trying to influence the assembly elections in Gujarat. He added that Mani Shankar Aiyar, who is no suspended by the Congress, hosted a dinner for party's top leaders and Pakistani officials last week. However, the Congress has said the Prime Minister's allegations are "highly irresponsible and outrageous" and has demanded an apology.
