Tinantia pringlei is a charming, easy to grow shade perennial that blooms from early summer all the way to frost. The dark green, purple speckled foliage topped with purple flowers looks great in containers and as a filler between more structural plants. Tinantia has weak shallow roots and fleshy, fragile stalks so we don't consider it weedy even though it does seed a bit in the garden.
