Detective Pikachu and Ryan Reynolds are SO overrated. And DON’T even get me started on Sonic the Hedgehog.
I’m ready for that Digimon live action movie to drop.

This was a project I wanted to make back in 2014 after taking my first filmmaking class and thinking I was a badass filmmaker…but then I forgot about it. Don’t know what made me remember it now but I’m glad I did.

I initially wanted to use my Lumix G7 but I was having trouble with it for some reason. Lo and behold, the Canon EOS M saved the day just in time! Unfortunately, I shot this before I started experimenting with Magic Lantern and RAW video, so this is just using the EOS M’s regular internal settings

I ended up using an old audio setup with my Rode VideoMic Pro + Zoom H1 + cheap Amazon mic stand and I was pretty surprised and happy with how clean the sound came out. I used my Fujian 35mm lens for the majority of the shot but my Canon 28mm for the opening wide shot
Without realizing it, I think I took various elements from Season 1-3 for this particular story. The hardest part was deciding which digivice to use and which colors to get haha. In the end, you just can’t beat the OG digivice (even though these are from Digimon Adventure Tri).
