Jennifer Han, a fourth-grade teacher from McAllen ISD's Seguin Elementary, earned the 2022 Texas Elementary Teacher of the Year honor at a special announcement held Oct. 22, 2021 at her campus. Han is the third teacher in McAllen ISD history to win the state award - the most in the Rio Grande Valley. Doug Williams, President of Texas Association of School Administrators, presented the award. Han had previously earned Teacher of the Year honors for her campus, McAllen ISD and the Region.
