Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the post-budget webinar on ‘Urban Planning, Development and Sanitation’ on March 01. During his address, the PM underlined the need to build futuristic infrastructure. “New cities that are being developed will create a new identity for India in the 21st century. With India urbanising rapidly, it is important to build infrastructure that is futuristic. Urban planning and urban governance both play a major role in urban development and for urban development, our vision is the development of new cities and upgradation of facilities in old cities,” said the PM.
