After high political drama, Sheikh Shahjahan custody has been transferred from the Bengal CID to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The case, involving an attack on Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials allegedly provoked by Shahjahan himself, led to his arrest by the West Bengal Police. Post-arrest, the ED moved the Calcutta High Court, stating potential evidence tampering and demanding Shahjahan’s custody be transferred to the CBI.
