Join us at Disney’s Magic Kingdom for the 1st day of Mystery Pin Trading!!! Do you trade your enamel pins at Disney? Disney now has regular pin trading boards and mystery boxes with Disney enamel pins in them to trade! It’s so fun to do the mystery boxes! We will show you how the mystery pin trading works!!
First, we go to the Character Warehouse on Vineland in Orlando Florida to buy some discounted pins for the family to trade. I highly recommend this! The pins there are authentic Disney brand pins but for a fraction of the price. We got a 4 pack for $15. They had single pins starting at $3.99.
Then we go to Magic Kingdom and get my dad a free birthday button souvenir because it was his birthday!! Yay! A Disney calvacade, mini parade, went by us and instantly, Mary Poppins wished my dad a happy birthday! It was a magical experience!
Then we started the mystery pin trading! Not all of the booths have the mystery pin trading set up yet. We found 3 mystery pin trading stations. They had mystery pin trading at Momento Mori, the gift shop by the Haunted Mansion ride. There’s another mystery pin trading station inside the circus tent, Big Too Souvenirs, by the Dumbo ride. Another place with mystery boxes for pin trading was Star Traders, at the gift shop across from the Tomorrowland Speedway. There are probably more mystery boxes with pin trading at other booths as well but we finished trading after those 3 booths.
Some directions for mystery pin trading at Disney: Each booth lets you do up to 2 pin trades each! If you don’t like the mystery pin you got, you can choose to keep your original pin or choose another box. If you choose another box, that counts as a second pin trade. When you trade your pin for a mystery pin, your pin now goes into that mystery box. The one problem we ran into was that the mystery pin boxes were small. We had large pins to trade and they didn’t fit into the mystery boxes. Luckily, Disney still has the regular pin trading boards at the stations too. We traded our big pins at the regular pin trading boards in exchange for smaller pins to make mystery trading easier. The mystery boxes you trade with have similar pins to what is on their regular pin trading boards. The fun part is, you never know what your getting! There are 24 boxes to choose from. You tell them what number you want and they pull out the drawer to inbox the pin. You can choose to keep that mystery pin or choose another box. You get 2 chances to trade. If you don’t like either of the 2 mystery pins, you can keep your original pin.
Lastly we do a mystery pin “unboxing” haul at the end of the video to show you what new pins we ended up with!
