Why you should NEVER pay Your Deductible to Water Mitigation or Mold Remediation companies.
BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE TO !!!!
If you have a water damage situation in your home more than likely a water mitigation company will be the first at your home to start the water mitigation process aka drying everything out and tearing out water damaged walls, baseboards, floors etc...
Often times, these companies will tell you:
We will bill your insurance company all you need to do is pay us your deductible.
Don't fall for this trick.
Tell them to bill the insurance company direct for their entire bill. You absolutely are under NO obligation to pay your deductible to them.
