Aligning with the My Body, My Health: My Wealth campaign, UNICEF South Africa's World Obesity Day events programme will leverage youth talent and technical expertise to spotlight youth-led discussions surrounding the theme of World Obesity Day, “changing perspectives: let’s talk about obesity."

These live discussions take a deep dive into the context of obesity in South Africa and globally, the stigma surrounding obesity, and how obesity relates to food choices and a healthy environment.

The discussions feature experts from UNICEF South Africa, Heala and the National Department of Health, as well as UNICEF youth advocates.
