According to the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, on this day, everything in the city will briefly cast no shadow. This happens when the sun is perfectly aligned overhead and reaches its zenith in the sky. The city of Bengaluru witnesses this phenomenon twice a year due to its latitude. As per officials, the celestial event happens at places that are located near the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn.
