Members of the National Assembly termed the letter of the US Congress members as interference in Pakistan's internal affairs.
It should be noted that 60 members of the US Congress wrote a letter to President Joe Biden for the release of PTI founder Imran Khan.
Now, in response to the letter, 160 members of the Pakistani Parliament have written a 16-page letter to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
The members of parliament wrote in the letter that the members as parliamentarians feel that the prime minister should inform the members of Congress that Pakistan is facing democratic challenges which have been further complicated by the politics of extremism.

The letter states that the founding PTI introduced political violence and criminal intimidation against state institutions. They caused widespread rioting and vandalism on 9 May 2023, inciting mobs to attack Parliament, the state television building and Radio Pakistan.
The MPs said in the letter that the founding PTI had paralyzed the country with chaotic politics in August 2014 and May 2022 as well. Founder PTI has been inciting chaos and violence from jail in Islamabad and Lahore.
