Travel Vlog - Weekend Getaway for Mothers Day - Calistoga Hot Springs Spa (Hidden Gem in CA)

Hello! With pandemic restrictions easing up step by step in California, my mom and I decided to leave for the weekend to beautiful Calistoga Spa. This area is so beautiful and deserves a lot more recognition. It is definitely a hidden gem! I made a travel vlog weekend getaway video for mothers day.

Located in the heart of Calistoga, CA, Calistoga Spa is a resort we have been going to for years. All of their pools contain mineral water that comes from the Earth and has to be cooled down so we can swim or soak in them. Many cultures believe in the benefits of sitting in mineral pools, especially for circulation, stress relief, and skin and hair benefits. I personally feel my skin and hair are so much softer after a day in Calistoga. This location is one of our favorites because they have a cooler (approx 80 degrees F compared to 104 degrees F) large lap pool where you can swim and cool down. Then evenings are amazing for soaking in the hotter pools, providing amazing relaxation.

If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend checking out Calistoga, the geysers, and the resorts with mineral pools. Downtown Calistoga is full of restaurants and shops and the area is surrounded by wineries.
