Congratulations to our 2017 American Culinary Federation Certified Master Chefs!

Gerald Ford, CMC; Joseph Leonardi, CMC; and Shawn Loving, CMC, CCA have been awarded the Certified Master Chef designation, the highest level of professional certification that a chef can earn in the U.S.

Ten leading chefs from across the U.S. recently stepped up to take the ultimate culinary challenge: the American Culinary Federation Certified Master Chef title. The grueling eight-day exam was held at Schoolcraft College in Livonia, Michigan.

To qualify, candidates had to pass written exams, plus several cooking segments where they demonstrated their hands-on cooking skills. Of the ten original participants, only three successfully passed all of the exams.
