Join us as we continue conversations around our landmark exhibition, 𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙒𝙚 𝙎𝙚𝙚 𝙐𝙨: 𝘼 𝘾𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝘽𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙁𝙞𝙜𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝙋𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜, with the show's network of artists, collectors and collaborators.
Ugandan artist Ian Mwesiga (b.1988) discusses self-reflection, his artistic process and perspectives.
“I think [this exhibition] is a very incredible window, in entering into who we are as a people, and how the artists are sort of, interrogating all of these subjects … to understand who we are as a people, as a -you know- a collective of human beings, 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨, and 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 in this world. ”
𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙒𝙚 𝙎𝙚𝙚 𝙐𝙨: 𝘼 𝘾𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝘽𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙁𝙞𝙜𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝙋𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 runs until 3 September 2023.
The exhibition and accompanying publication was made possible through the generous support of GUCCI.
