As the sun goes down, the 52240 meter gauge passenger train from Mailani towards Tikunia hauled by YDM4 class locomotive, trundles across the Sharda River Bridge, near Palia Kalan in Uttar Pradesh. This railway route is among the last of stretches of Meter Gauge railway in the state of Uttar Pradesh and a last few among the entire Indian Railways network. The railway line passes through the tiger territory of Dudha National Park and the Khatarniya Ghat Wildlife Sactuary. River Sharda which originates in Nepal flows into Ghaghara and later into river Ganga.
