His full name was Pablo Diego Jose Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno Maria de los Remedios Ciopriano de la Santisima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso, but we know him more informally as Pablo Picasso, and he was en extremely popular Spanish artist who lived from 1881 to 1973. He demonstrated extraordinary artistic talent during his early days, which allowed him to go off his own deep end and invent the Picasso style that won him great critical regard throughout the world. His wide variety of artistic inventions made him one of the best-known entities of 20th century art. He was also quite a ladies' man and his personal life could serve as the basis for dozens of novels and biopics. The Nazis didn't like his paintings, so during WWII (he was living in Paris), he stopped exhibiting and took up poetry, writing some 300 poems.
