(VF Lore #6 - "Years ago I got the Rickenbacker featured in this video. It was so fancy and cool and I foolishly burned pretty much all the money I had at the time to get it. While totally reckless, I am glad I did. And to justify getting my sticky paws on it, I learnt every single Sex Bob-Omb song in existence in full (even the unreleased ones). It was a fun time! By the time I had mastered all the songs and started learning other heavy rock songs on it, I felt like I earned it. Whats more: it's the only bass I have ever used to record anything. Every single Vanilla Franco song features that thick, elastic sounding, burnt-out, crispy, rubbery, rumbly bad-ass bass guitar. I love the Rick & it loves me in return"
