On March 11, 2011, a massive earthquake struck eastern Japan, causing tremendous damage to Fukushima Prefecture. Now, Fukushima’s Odaka Town—which was forced to evacuate due to the nuclear accident following the earthquake—is coming back to life with young people returning to the area. What's more, efforts are underway with regard to the revival of Fukushima cuisine and the introduction of new food creations. The community is now moving forward dynamically toward reconstruction, and beyond.
