“The New Flamenco” is the title of Okuda San Miguel’s first intervention in the town of Ronda. The Spanish artist’s latest project has taken him to the heart of Andalusia, in the south of Spain, where he has created a mural that weaves together relationships between characters from the region’s local history, replete with romantic legends, and Okuda’s own creative imagination. At the heart of his work are women who evoke the magic and passion of flamenco, set against dreamlike landscapes and references to the town’s unique architecture.
