Pietermaritzburg High Court judge Piet Koen has responded to the criticism against him by Former Chief Justice Mogoeng.

In the last interviews by the Judicial Service Commission, Mogoeng questioned how Koen became a judge in the first place, accusing him of being rude during a meeting.

Responding to what he has described as ‘lashing’, Koen says he was "gutted" by Mogoeng's accusations against him as they were unjustified.
