Professor Ashkan talks to Ellie about clinical trials and research in Brain Tumours. Part of #braintumorawareness is that we need to see more trials opening in this area to increase treatment options and ultimately survival. Kings and Guys and St Thomas have dedicated neuro-oncology trial teams. Every person discussed in our MDT is considered for suitability for a clinical trial. We hope to see the trial portfolio expand to bursting! As neuro oncology of a rarer tumour site it is important that the links between centres are strong to enable our patients to have access to available trials. You may be talked to about trials offered outside of our Trusts, this is because we believe there maybe be a better option for you to explore.
