The 2021 Sustainable Arctic Forum was held on November 10, 2021, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Arctic Council under the theme of "The Present and Future of the Arctic and its Sustainable Development.” Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea Choi Jong-moon, in his opening remarks, emphasized the seriousness of climate change in the Arctic region and urged international cooperation to cope with climate change.
