This here is the final audio recording of the NovaBus RTS T8O-206 along with the picture slideshow. This audio is from coach #3594 operating on Rt. 53 Woodward to Fairgrounds. This is also the tribute recording to the #3250-3282, #3500-3599, #3600-3617 series that have been retired between 2010 and 2012. These buses served the streets of Detroit, Michigan for 15 (almost 16) years. Most of these units--including ALL of the T8O-206S #3290-3299 series were retired in 2010 when New Flyer Industries D40LF #1001-1050 came in the fleet, but others were kept until summer and the fall of 2011 because of D-dot service problems with the buses. The last remaining units were retired in March of 2012 after I had recorded #3594 on its last days of service--not to mention service cuts and they were replaced with 2011-2012 Gillig Advantage buses #1201-1242... These buses are the VERY last units purchased in the mid-90's.
