How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Titan Chain twist link chains on our 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. Our Titan Chain chains are twist link style, and as you can see, you have chain links that are twisted and what that does for you, it allows you to get better traction in ice, snow, and mud. These guys are rated for on road. The material is a steel alloy that's designed to hold up against corrosion and the elements and salt, like you can see that's in the tread of our truck here. The way that it secures are gonna be links on the rear and a latch on the front. With the size tire that we have, the 255/70R17, it was a lot of slack on the chain, so I would suggest adding a rubber adjuster, that's gonna help pull the tension towards the middle.

Your Titan Chains are gonna ship in this bag, which is okay for shipping. If you we inchesre to actually have it in your vehicle, I would make it a part of a cold weather kit that has gloves and a pad 'cause you actually have to get down on the ground for your installation. And speaking of installation, lemme show you how easy we can put it on your truck. We're gonna start our installation by laying our chain out on the ground and making sure that there's no twisted links and the hooks on the outside of the chain are facing outward. That way we're gonna be able to make sure there's no contact with our tire and we're just gonna find our middle point and lift up.

And we're just gonna drape our chain over our tire. Just gonna carefully stretch over and then once you have everything aligned, you're gonna make your link connection underneath the tire. We're gonna grab our link and our hook and just place it through the chain link. (chains clinking) And now we're gonna complete the installation on the front. We're gonna pull our chain forward and we're gonna make our link connection in the front.

So we're gonna slide our connector through the links and then lock it into place. As you can see, there's still a lot of slack on the chain, so I suggest that you add on a rubber adjuster. A rubber adjuster is gonna help take that slack out of your chain. You're just gonna make attachments going opposite sides to pull everything towards the middle. And this is gonna help keep your tread in the center of your tire as well as a chain off of your rim to help reduce impact.
