Dancing is a wonderful form of expression that can bring joy, socialisation, and physical benefits to anyone who participates, including children with special needs.
On the 13th of March, 2023, as part of a social initiative project, students visited Verkių Mokykla, a special education school in Vilnius and hosted a dancing session for the children there.
The primary reason dancing was undertaken as a means of engagement is because it serves as a creative outlet for children with special needs to express themselves and their emotions in a supportive and non-judgmental environment. It can be a powerful tool for emotional expression and a way for these children to connect with others.
