Telangana famous folk singer Gaddar passed away. He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital. He recently underwent a heart operation and passed away today. As Gaddar, who was involved in movements all his life, went to the worlds of no return, fans and representatives of public associations were in mourning.

Gaddar was born in 1949 to Lacchamma and Seshaiah in Thupran village of Medak district. Gaddar's real name is Gummadi Vitthal Rao. Gaddar, who studied engineering at Osmania University... was attracted to mass movements... and followed the path of Naxalism. Gaddar changed his name in admiration of the "Gadar Party" which played a vital role in the freedom movement.

Gaddar actively participated in the Telangana movement of 1969. He re-campaigned for the spread of ideology. The Telangana movement was explained to the people through Burrakatha. In 1972 Jan Natya Mandali was formed. Gaddar songs helped to face the atrocities happening in the villages. Gaddar Bank Recruitment Exam in 1975. Joined Canara Bank as a Clerk. After that got married. His wife's name is Vimala and he has three children. Sun, moon, moon. Chandra died in 2003 due to illness.

Gaddar played the role of armed fighter Yadagiri in the movie Mabhoomi. A song called Bandenaka Bandi Katti sung by Yadagiri was sung. He resigned from the job in 1984. In 1985, he fought against the killings of Dalits in Karachedu. Joined Jana Natya Mandal. Through Ogga Katha, Burra Katha and Ellamma Katha, they brought awareness in the rural areas. Gaddar also performed in the states of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Bihar.

Gaddar songs make people aware. Marri Chenna Reddy was generous against the Naxalites during his second term as Chief Minister. The ban was lifted. On February 18, 1990, 2 lakh people attended a huge public meeting organized at the Nizam College Grounds in Gaddar Hyderabad under the auspices of the Jan Natya Mandali.

Being in the Naxalite party, he took revolutionary literature to the masses. The people were made aware through the Society of Revolutionary Writers. During the negotiations with the government in 2002, the Naxalites sent Gaddar and Varavara Rao as their representatives. Gaddar vehemently opposed fake encounters.

Gaddar, who worked in the Naxalite movement for a long time... later came into the mainstream of life... played a vital role in the Telangana movement. In the 1990s, Mali Dasha became a participant in the struggle. On April 6, 1997, he was shot by unknown persons. At that time a bullet remained in his stomach. The doctors did not remove the bullet as it would be fatal if removed.

Janam Gunde Chapada recently participated in the Yatra with the slogan "Ma Mandhimu Makay" in support of the People's March Padayatra undertaken by CLP Leader Bhattivikramamarka. The crowd stood with their hearts pounding. Recently admitted to Apollo Spectra Hospital, Ameerpet with heart problem. He has been receiving treatment since July 20 and has recovered a bit. But.. his health deteriorated... he passed away.
