North Queensland needs to “close its own border” to the rest of the state, according to Independent MP Bob Katter.
Mr Katter said North Queensland is “contagion free” and the only cases recorded to date have come from South Queensland and the cruise ships.
Sky News host Chris Smith said “North Qld needs to close its own borders and block Southern Queenslanders out”.
“I think by the end of this week there will be over 200 doctors who will have signed a document to that effect,” Mr Katter said.
“If the government continues to ignore all the medical practitioners in North Queensland then the government is completely irresponsible," he said.
