WiRē is an interdisciplinary research collaboration that has developed a household and community-level data collection approach that informs wildfire education programs tailored to the unique characteristics of the community and its residents. The systematic data also serve as a baseline to monitor changes in biophysical and social conditions over time. In addition, the social science engages communities in discussions about how to adapt to living in a fire prone environment.
