Wasn't one shady Himalayan baba as a consultant at NSE enough to ruin the integrity and image of this important body of the Indian stock market, that they felt the need to involve a China linked so called stock market expert named David Tsoi as a regular consultant at NSE, that too during the time that NSE was spearheaded by controversial Chitra Ramakrishna.
The NSE Colocation scam investigations has sent a fresh wave of speculation that a Hong Kong resident named David Tsoi whose current whereabouts are unknown, as expected, was consulted by the NSE on several of its core technology projects ,including dissemination of data packets via multicast and TCP IP for the colocation (COLO) trading systems.
Business Line has published a report on these speculations surrounding the NSE scam investigation, however the exchange is yet to comment on it. On the other hand, the alleged Chinese connection has gone AWOL, more specifically the LinkedIn profile as well as any other media presence has been deleted since the publishing of the story.
Some websites however do reveal a few details about this Chinese connection of NSE. It has been found that this David Tsoi had worked for more than two decades with firms such as People’s Bank of China, Shanghai Stock Exchange, Shanghai Airline, Hongkong International Terminals, and India's NSE and National Securities Depository Limited.
The point of worry here is that the NSE scam involved a lot of data theft during the time of Chitra and Narain. And since these two were under constant consultation with the china connection therefore this thread cannot be overlooked, especially since several broker involved in Colocation scam had their presence in countries such as Hong Kong.
Only time will reveal whether this thread is important to the investigation or not!!
