We discovered what we believe to be an Indian Trail Tree. It was intentionally bent this way to mark a trail to a water source or a camp. We decided to follow it in the direction it was pointing us, and we found another, similar tree.
We did try to continue following the 2nd tree, but it would have sent us too far down the side of the mountain, and we were not comfortable going farther alone. We may return with a hiking buddy to see if the trail continues.
