10/8 however is a 'regular' time signature in the fact that it can be split evenly into twos. Although, at the same time, it is irregular.
10/8 in Kurdish music is typically divided 3+2+2+3.
In 10/8, there are some possible beat patterns:
3 beats + 2 beats + 2 beats + 3 beats in each measure
3 beats + 3 beats + 2 beats + 2 beats in each measure
2 beats + 2 beats + 3 beats + 3 beats in each measure
2 beats + 3 beats + 3 beats + 3 beats in each measure
In this lesson we have 3+2+2+3 pattern, which is the most common pattern in Kurdish music and Persian Music.
