The man behind a viral video at a Hot August Nights event in Virginia City said he's filed a police report with the Storey County Sheriff's Office after he said he was the target of racist remarks over the weekend.

In the video captured on Friday evening and posted on TikTok, Rick Johnson said he was trying to collect signatures on a petition to lower attorney fees in the Silver State when nearby attendees targeted him with racist language.
