The country’s largest continuously operating arts and craft market has been a Portland mainstay since 1974, one of the city’s top tourist destinations supporting more than 250 craftspeople who make and sell their own wares. Locals and visitors alike have found one-of-a-kind jewelry, clothing, art, housewares, and accessories, enjoyed international food and live music, and experienced the spirit of Portland. Here’s your chance to help preserve its future. After closing last March through June due to COVID-19 and later the wildfires in September, we’ve experienced significant loss in annual revenue making the market’s future tenuous, despite dramatic cuts to staff and operations. Our goal is to raise $150,000 to secure our future. Any amount is appreciated and welcome! Funds from this campaign will directly cover our fixed monthly expenses - rent, insurance, utilities, phone, internet- and help ensure a successful 2021 season. Thank you for supporting a bit of “Old Portland”! Meanwhile, the Saturday Market is opening for the 2021 season Saturday, April 17. Hope to see you there!
