How to prepare Batter Fried Brinjal || BENGALI BEGUNI || Crispy Eggplant Fritters
Hi Everyone,
Today I will show you how to prepare "Beguni" or "Eggplant Fritters". In this preparation Eggplant or begun are sliced and coated with chick pea batter and then deep fried until it is crispy. It's a perfect rainy day snack.
Ingredients:
Eggplant - 5 to 6 thin slices.
Green chilli - 5 to 6 pieces,
Gram flour - 1 cup,
Rice flour - 3 tbsp,
Baking soda - 1/4 tsp,
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp,
Onion seeds - 1/4 tsp,
Salt to taste,
Oil - for fry,
METHOD:
To prepare the batter, take a bowl add Gram flour, Rice flour, Baking soda, Turmeric powder, Onion seeds and Salt. Mix well then add water and mix again to get a smooth and lumps free batter. After a good mixing add 1 tbsp of hot oil to the batter and mix again. Keep it for 10-15 minutes.
Take a slice of eggplant and green chilli together, deep into the batter and fry until it become crispy.
Serve hot.
