In the framework of the International Decade of Indigenous Languages 2022-2032 and on the occasion of the World Day of Romani Language, the Knowledge and Learning Commons (KLC), in collaboration with the Division of Conference Management (DCM), is organizing an online workshop to raise awareness on Romani language heritage and the history it preserves.

The learning objectives include exploring:

• The interlinkages between Romani language and its history

• The Romani perceptions of life through “Pachiv”, Roma customary law

• The importance of marginalized languages in today’s public discourse
