ITIL 4 Foundation launched in February 2019, and was the first of the seven modules to launch in the scheme. It provides the building blocks that support your subsequent ITIL 4 learning journey. The new architecture of ITIL 4 introduced several new concepts, like:
• Service value system (SVS): will help organizations to facilitate value co-creation and provide end-to-end value for your service relationships
• Service value chain (SVC): are a set of interconnected activities that provide an operating model for the creation, delivery, and continual improvement of services
• Guiding principles: are at the core of ITIL 4 and helps professionals to adopt and adapt for their own specific needs and circumstances
• ITIL Practices: are a fundamental part of the ITIL 4 framework and provide a holistic vision for way of working
• Four Dimensions: represent perspectives which are relevant to the whole SVS, and are critical to the effective and efficient facilitation of value for customers and other stakeholders.
