Take the crumble out the kitchen and to the grill, this scratchmade apple crumble will be the perfect end to your holiday dinner. Made fully on The Current Model G electric grill.
Full Recipe Below:
2-3 Medium Sized Granny Smith Apples (Diced)
3 oz Unsalted Butter
8 oz Granulated Sugar
1 Tbsp Ground Cinnamon
1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract
¼Tsp Ground Ginger
½Tsp Ground Clove
¼Tsp Ground Nutmeg
2 oz Bourbon
Crumb Topping:
12 oz All-Purpose Flour
4 oz Unsalted Butter
4 oz Granulated Sugar Pinch of Salt
½Tbsp Cinnamon
¼Tsp Ground Clove
Instructions:
- Preheat the grill to 400.
Crumb
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, butter, sugar, salt, cloves, and cinnamon. Mix until the topping resembles small peas. If it’s too doughy or wet, add a tablespoon of flour at a time until you get desired consistency.
Apple
- Coat Apples with (clove, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg) in a separate bowl.
- Place a medium size cast iron skillet over medium heat. Add the butter to the pan and melt.
- Add Apple mixture into the pan and pour sugar on top. Bump the heat up to 450.
- Add bourbon
- Top the apple filling with the crumb topping. Place on the grill and cook for 15-20 minutes or until the crumb topping has browned.
- Remove from the grill, allow the cobbler to cool for 8-10 minutes and serve with vanilla ice cream!
