AMBIENCE STORY:

The Old Piano remembers the first time tiny hands tapped lightly on its keys there was laughter and it was spring time. As the years flew by the hands grew bigger and more certain as they learned to play many songs and the Old Piano would sing all day long and was happy. Summer was its favourite season as many hands would dance upon its keys and later the music would become softer by the light of the moon. The seasons came and went and one day the Old Piano was forgotten. It stood in its quiet room listening to the wind outside and observed the changing world marked by its silence. At first it remembered the old days fondly, but over the years the Old Piano grew sleepy and its thoughts became slow, the memories so distant they seemed like sweet dreams until it fell into a deep sleep…

How many years went by no-one knows but one autumn evening a small cat found its way into a quiet room of an abandoned castle and it jumped onto an Old Piano and wondered along its keys. Awoken from its slumber, at first the piano didn't know where it was or what was happening, but as it saw the autumn leaves falling outside it began to remember those far away evenings of long ago where the golden light of the sun had reached out like a hand across the sky and lighted on the Old Piano. Suddenly the Old Piano remembered all the hands it had known over the years, and the songs it had sung. Slowly, it began to play those old melodies until it had played every song it had ever known and the sun had lingered as long as it could. As the last song came to an end, the sun left the sky and autumn gave way to winter. But the old piano stayed awake and played again for the cat. From that day forward, the cat came every evening to listen to the old piano and they became great friends. If you happen to be walking through the fields and you hear beautiful piano music coming from an abandoned castle, it might just be the Old Piano and the cat.
